Leaving the US? Border patrol will snap your photo: What every traveller needs to know

Starting December 26, 2025, the US will photograph all non-citizens entering and exiting the country at all ports of entry. This expansion of biometric checks aims to enhance national security, combat fraud and track immigration trends. The new policy will include previously exempted groups and centralise biometric data for future crossings.
