Festive Measures Across ECoR Network

The announcement comes as part of a larger effort by Indian Railways to manage heightened passenger traffic during the festive period. Earlier this month, ECoR deployed 367 special trains, with 76 of these services already transporting more than 78,000 passengers across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

Special trains are being operated in coordination with the nationwide festive operations, where nearly 12,000 additional trains have been introduced to handle the surge in commuters. Zones such as Northern Railway, Central Railway, and Western Railway have contributed the largest number of special trains, while East Coast Railway continues to play a vital role in the eastern region.
