Top 6 Richest Cities In The World 2025: The number of billionaires is increasing in the world. The global population of individuals with a wealth exceeding USD 30 million has reached 510,810 as of June 2025. A report published by Altrata’s World Ultra Wealth states that the collective net worth of these billionaire individuals grew by 6.7 percent, totalling USD 59.8 trillion. This number is twice the yearly GDP of the United States. There are around 41.3 million individuals worldwide classified as high-net-worth (HNW) each having assets that surpassed USD 1 million. The top six cities represent a major portion of the global UHNW population.
As per the data, US cities dominate the top 10 towns representing a major portion of the global UHNW population.
New York City secures the top position with 21,380 UHNW individuals, followed by Hong Kong. However, Tokyo witnessed a decline but remains on the list.

India is home to 11,865 UHNW individuals and ranks 10th in country-based rankings. But sadly, no Indian city makes it to the top 6 or top 10 list of the global cities where the richest live.
Notably, four Indian cities experiencing the highest growth in UHNW individuals are – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
India’s Silicon City, Bengaluru, is projected to have the largest population of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) among Indian cities. The number is expected to increase from 590 in the first half of 2025 to 1,076 by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.8 percent.
Delhi is expected to increase its UHNW people from 1,047 to 1,806, reflecting a CAGR of 11.5 percent. Mumbai is anticipated to grow from 769 to 1,288 UHNW residents, showing a CAGR of 10.9 percent, while Hyderabad is expected to rise from 449 to 817, with a CAGR of 12.7 percent.
