Emraan Hashmi, who was last seen at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Haq with Yami Gautam in Mumbai, spoke about the overwhelming response to his cameo in The Ba*ds of Bollywood. The Netflix series, directed by Aryan Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment, features Emraan in the short and impactful role of an intimacy coordinator, hired to train characters played by Lakshya and Sahher Bambaa.

Speaking about the viral scene, Emraan said, “Kuch din pehle hi yeh conversation meri hui Aryan aur Red Chillies team ke saath. Humein pata tha viral hoga, lekin is tarah se viral hoga, woh kabhi socha nahi tha. I think it’s a lesson to be learnt.”

Raghav Juyal’s fan moment with Emraan

In the series, Raghav Juyal, who portrays the character of Parvez, is shown to be a die-hard fan of Emraan Hashmi. He is seen singing Emraan’s iconic 2004 song Kaho Na Kaho from Murder, which starred Mallika Sherawat. Fans loved Raghav’s tribute, appreciating how he sang both the Hindi and Arabic parts with emotion, evoking old-school Bollywood romance and nostalgia among Emraan’s fans.

Emraan on the audience’s changed perception

Reflecting on how the viral scene changed perceptions about him, Emraan said:

“I think iske pehle fans jo hain, woh naam leke pukarte the, ya phir… ek doosra image tha, ‘S’ se shuru hota hai. Main naam nahi loonga, nahi toh raat bhar yahi chalta rahega. Abhi woh dialogue ka zikr hota hai, so no complaints.”

Emraan also appreciated Aryan Khan’s show for helping him evolve beyond his earlier on-screen image.
