Ramkesh Meena, the 32-year-old UPSC aspirant who was killed by his live-in partner, had non-consensual nude images of 15 other women, police said. The officials found the private videos on his hard disk, which they recovered from the crime scene.

Officers said the victim of the murder had a disturbing obsession with collecting such content.

The information was confirmed by Ravindra Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, who spoke to NDTV.

Meena’s charred body was found on October 6th in his flat.

When investigators first saw the scene, they felt something was off about the burned body and the death. Further investigations into the burns found on the body and CCTV footage from nearby revealed that the scene was a cover-up planned by his live-in partner, Amrita.

Amrita, 21, is pursuing a degree in forensic science and was obsessed with watching crime series. The prime accused in the case confessed to the killing after investigators arrested her, her former boyfriend, and his friend.

She said that she felt betrayed and humiliated after she realised that Ramkesh Meena had captured and stored private visuals of her. She had asked him to delete it many times, but he had refused to do so.

Fearing that Ramkesh would distribute her videos on the internet, she turned to her ex-boyfriend Sumit for help. Together with another friend, Sandeep, they planned to confront Meena, which eventually resulted in the murder by strangulation. Amrita, with her knowledge of crime and forensic science, told them to alter the crime scene to make it look like a death caused by an accidental gas cylinder explosion. They eliminated fingerprints and used ghee and wine to burn the body and the room of any evidence. They also took the victims, two laptops, the hard disk with the visuals, and other belongings.

Recording and disseminating private images of a woman without her knowledge is punishable under Section 77 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, on the first conviction, with a one-year jail term. A subsequent conviction may result in a jail term of between three and seven years.
