His family has expressed concern about the rising costs and has appealed to fans and members of the film industry for financial support to continue his treatment.

Sudhir Dalvi has made significant contributions to Indian cinema and television for decades. His most memorable role was that of Sai Baba in Shirdi Ke Sai Baba (1977), which remains deeply resonant with audiences. He also garnered acclaim for his portrayal of sage Vashishtha in the 1987 TV serial Ramayan. Sudhir Dalvi also starred in films like Junoon (1978) and Chandni (1989). His last film was Excuse Me in 2003, while he appeared on television in Woh Hue Na Hamare in 2006.
