Dubai Fitness Challenge set for ninth edition: Details of 4 major items of the event

The ninth edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, an initiative by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will begin on Saturday. The event, aimed at making Dubai the most active, healthy, and vibrant city in the world, will celebrate, offer a slew of unique programmes for all ages and abilities.
The four major events of the Challenge are:
(i) Dubai cycling challenge - Sunday
The major event of the ninth edition is the Dubai Cycling Challenge, which will start on Sheikh Zayed Road on Sunday morning. The participants can choose the experience that suits them; either the four-kilometer family route in downtown Dubai or the full 12-kilometer route, which passes by the city’s most prominent landmarks, including the Museum of the Future, the Dubai Water Canal, and the Burj Khalifa.
Professional cyclists can take part in the speed rides, which will be held between 5 am and 6 am on the highway. The event includes dedicated spaces with the necessary support for the use of modified bikes, bicycles, and hand bikes, reflecting the inclusive nature of the challenge and making participation accessible to everyone. Registered participants can collect their jerseys and race numbers from the Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village in Zabeel Park from October 29 to November 1.
Dubai Rowing Challenge on Nov 8,9
The two-day Dubai Rowing Challenge will be held against the backdrop of Hatta Dam, nestled amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Hajar Mountains. The event offers complimentary rowing sessions led by professional instructors, free kayaking experiences in single dinghies for ages 17 and up, and double dinghies for families, all on a first-come, first-served basis. Sunset yoga sessions will also be available over the water. The event runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with all necessary equipment (boards, paddles, and life jackets) provided, and dedicated support is available for people with disabilities.
A free shuttle service is available from One Central parking near the Dubai World Trade Centre to the event location in Hatta, turning the experience into a complete weekend adventure.

Dubai Run Challenge - November 23
One of the most popular public events of the challenge returns for its seventh edition, transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into the world’s largest free community running route. The challenge invites all ages and fitness levels to participate in an experience that celebrates activity and community engagement, with two routes suitable for different abilities: a 10-kilometer course for professional runners finishing at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Gateway, and a 5-kilometer course for families and amateurs finishing near The Dubai Mall on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. Dubai Yoga- November 30
This year’s challenge concludes with a brand-new flagship event, ‘Dubai Yoga’, taking place at sunset in Zabeel Park. This event will bring together thousands of participants for one of the region’s largest group yoga sessions.
