‘Kejriwal has ‘sheesh mahal’ in Punjab’: BJP claims AAP chief is Punjab’s ‘super CM’, lives in 7-star ‘alishaan’ mansion; Swati Maliwal says…

In a fresh attack on Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP has alleged that a luxurious ‘sheesh mahal’ is being built for the former Delhi chief minister in Punjab, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief is acting as the ‘super CM’ of the state.

Kejriwal provided ‘sheesh mahal’ in Punjab?

In a video message, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla claimed that a “sheesh mahal with a 7-star facility” is being built for Arvind Kejriwal in Punjab under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s quota even though he is neither an elected MLA nor part of the state government.

“People of Delhi removed Kejriwal from his ‘sheesh mahal’ in New Delhi but the sheesh mahal mindset has not gone. And a sheesh mahal part 2 is being done in Punjab through the tax payers money, under the Punjab chief minister’s quota because Kejriwal is the super CM of Punjab,” Poonawalla alleged.

“He may not be an elected MLA, he may not be in the government, but a 7-star facility is being done only for him at the cost of the Punjabi tax payers,” he added.

‘Delhi AAP leaders heading govt bodies in Punjab’

The BJP spokesperson also claimed that AAP leaders who lost elections in Delhi, have been “placed” in various boards and commissions in Punjab, and demanded an explanation from the party.

“And this isn’t the only thing. Even AAP leaders, who had lost elections in Delhi, have been placed in the boards and commissions in Punjab. So, the Punjabi tax payers are being used and utilised to pay for the Aam Aadmi Party leaders of Delhi. This is their mindset,” he alleged.

Poonawalla accused AAP of not fulfilling its promises in Punjab, and alleged that public money was used to provide a ‘alishaan’ mansion for Arvind Kejriwal. “They have not given the money they promised to women of Punjab but provided a 100-car convoy for Arvind Kejriwal’s VVIP security, then a 7 star ‘alishaan’ (luxurious) mansion for him,” he charged.

Maliwal claims Kejriwal has lavish bungalow in Chandigarh

Meanwhile, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal made similar allegations, claiming that Kejriwal has been provided a 7-star government bungalow spread over 2 acres of land in Chandigarh’s Sector 2, from CM Bhagwant Mann’s quota.

“After Delhi’s Sheesh Mahal was vacated, Arvind Kejriwal has built a Sheesh Mahal in Punjab, even more magnificent than Delhi’s. He has been given a luxurious 7-star government bungalow of 2 acres in Sector 2, Chandigarh, from the Chief Minister’s quota,” Maliwal claimed in a post on X in Hindi, while sharing a purported aerial image of Kejriwal’s alleged Chandigarh bungalow.

“Yesterday, he boarded a government helicopter from in front of his house for Ambala. Then, from Ambala, a private jet of the Punjab government took him to Gujarat for party work. The entire Punjab government is busy serving one man,” she alleged.

Neither AAP nor the Punjab government had responded to the allegations when this report was filed.
