WATCH: Tilak Varma pulls off stunning boundary-line catch to dismiss Travis Head at iconic MCG

India is facing Australia in the 2nd T20I of the five-match series at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 31, 2025. Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first. India struggled to form partnerships and was all out for just 125 runs. The only bright spot was young opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored an impressive 68 runs off 37 balls with a strike rate of 183.78.
While chasing 126, Australian openers Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head got off to a fast start, adding 51 runs in just 28 balls. Their aggressive batting seemed to give Australia the edge early in the game. But the game changed in the fifth over when spinner Varun Chakaravarthy came into the attack.
He dismissed Travis Head thanks to a brilliant catch by Tilak Varma near the long-off boundary, a moment that reminded fans of Suryakumar Yadav’s famous catch in the 2024 T20 World Cup final.

Varun bowled a well-pitched ball on the stumps, and Travis Head tried to hit it straight down the ground. It looked like it was going to be a six, but Tilak Varma quickly moved to his left, kept his focus on the ball, and caught it cleanly while near the boundary rope.
Knowing he might go over the rope, Tilak tossed the ball back into the air, stepped over the boundary, and then came back inside to finish the catch.
