Shameless Pakistan suffers MAJOR setbacks, Hafiz Saeed’s man shot dead in Punjab, Munir too faces loss after…

Pakistan, which has made terrorism a part of its policy, has suffered two major setbacks in a single day. On one hand, a person believed to be associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba was shot dead in Punjab province, while on the other hand, nine Pakistani army soldiers were killed in a horrific attack in Balochistan. Both incidents have raised serious questions about Pakistan’s security system. In the first incident, 28-year-old Sheikh Muaz Mujahid was shot dead on Friday in Kasur district of Pakistan’s Punjab province.

According to local media reports, Muaz was associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and was considered close to terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The incident occurred in the Kot Radha Kishan area, about 60 kilometers from Lahore. Punjab police claim the killing occurred in a shootout between two groups. Based on a complaint from the deceased’s father, police have registered a case against more than 20 suspects and an investigation has been launched.

Army attacked in Balochistan

On the same day, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) ambushed a Pakistani army convoy in the Kalat district of Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province. This attack in Balochistan proved to be the deadliest for Pakistan in recent months. The incident occurred in a mountainous area of Kalat district when the Pakistani army convoy was traveling. Suddenly, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters attacked from all sides.

The terrorists first fired rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and then opened sniper fire. The Pakistani army suffered heavy losses in the 50-minute encounter. Two military vehicles were completely burned, and nine soldiers were killed on the spot, including two Special Service Group (SSG) commandos. Several soldiers are reported to be seriously injured.

BLA is continuously attacking

According to local sources, the BLA had made elaborate preparations for the attack. The militants launched their attack from high altitudes to prevent the army from retaliating. The BLA frequently launches attacks to protest the exploitation of Balochistan’s resources and the excesses of the Pakistani army. The BLA has been demanding independence for Balochistan for several years and has repeatedly attacked targets associated with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. This attack demonstrates that Pakistan’s security agencies remain unsuccessful in suppressing the insurgency in the region.
