India vs South Africa Women’s World Cup Final Predicted Playing 11: IND W vs SA W squads, key players list by captains Harmanpreet Kaur, Laura Wolvaardt

India will play South Africa in the final of the 2025 Women’s World Cup on Sunday at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Neither team has won the trophy before, so the match will see a new champion.

India’s wins in men’s World Cups are remembered as important moments in cricket history. The 1983 victory marked the start of India’s rise in the sport, and the 2011 win inspired many of today’s players. The Indian women’s team came very close to winning in 2017. Even though they lost, reaching the final gave a big boost to women’s cricket in India.

In the semi-final, Jemimah Rodrigues scored an incredible 127 not out and Harmanpreet Kaur made 89, helping India win against Australia in a record-breaking chase. The victory has already created a huge buzz across the country. South Africa, on the other hand, don’t mind being called the “underdogs.” They have shown great fight during the tournament, from being bowled out for 69 against England in Guwahati to later beating the same team at the same ground, and bouncing back after being all out for 97 against Australia in Indore.

India were affected when their in-form opener Pratika Rawal got injured before the semi-final. Shafali Verma replaced her in the team. While India had a historic win, Shafali didn’t do much to ease concerns about the top order missing Rawal. Still, it is unlikely that India will change the squad that beat Australia.

The same is true for South Africa. Experienced players like Marizanne Kapp (204 runs, 12 wickets), Nadine de Klerk (190 runs, 8 wickets), Tazmin Brits (212 runs), Chloe Tryon (167 runs, 5 wickets), and captain Laura Wolvaardt (470 runs) have all played important roles. As the tournament went on, Wolvaardt’s consistent performance and leadership have stood out, and her opening partnership with Brits is a big challenge for India’s bowlers.
