Main supplier held in ₹70-L heroin case

The police in Sirsa district have arrested the main supplier in a major heroin trafficking case, in which 706 grams of heroin worth about Rs 70 lakh was recovered. The arrest was made by the Kagdana police chowki under Nathusari Chopta police station.

Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Radheshyam said the arrested accused has been identified as Om Prakash, alias Prakash, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Baru village, Rashmi police station, Chittorgarh district (Rajasthan).

The case dates back to October 28, 2024, when the police recovered 706 grams of heroin from Krishan Lal, alias Kino, son of Ram Swaroop, a resident of Chhatarian village. During interrogation, Krishan Lal revealed that he had procured the heroin from Om Prakash in Rajasthan.

Following this lead, the Kagadana police team launched an operation and successfully arrested the main supplier from the Kagadana area. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Nathusari Chopta police station.

Inspector Radheshyam said the accused was produced in court and remanded to three days police custody for interrogation. “During the remand period, we will question him to identify others involved in this drug trafficking network. Anyone found connected to this racket will face strict legal action,” he added.
