World’s fastest train hits top speed of 896 km/h, vanishes in blink of an eye, runs in THIS Country…, it is…
The Vande Bharat Express, recognized as the title of India’s fastest train, can reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h. At present, the Vande Bharat travels at approximately 80-90 km/h on the tracks. Vande Bharat is quite popular in India. But the train we are about to introduce is even faster—faster than a bullet train. It’s so fast that it vanishes in the blink of an eye! It is therefore regarded as the fastest train in the world.
What makes this train the fastest in the world?
As far as train speeds are concerned, China is again ahead of the pack. The country has successfully trialed its ‘CR450’ train. And with this trial run, it claimed the title of the world’s fastest train, as reported by ZeeNews Hindi.
When will the train become fully operational for passengers?
According to a ZeeNews Hindi report, China’s ‘CR450’ train is now the fastest high-speed train in the world, with a record speed of 896 kilometers per hour. The train has surpassed Japan’s L0 Series Maglev record of 603 kilometers per hour. China has now mastered the race for ultra-high-speed rail travel.
The ‘CR450’ train has currently undergone a trial run, reaching high speeds on the Shanghai–Chengdu High-Speed Rail Corridor. This high-speed rail corridor is also the intended route of the regular operations of the train.
The CR450 train achieved a speed of 896 km/h during trial runs, while it is actually designed to operate commercially at a speed of 400 km/h. The train has been developed to reach a speed of 350 km/h within 4 seconds and is currently undergoing operational evaluation.
It has been designed to accelerate to near-electric speed in just seconds, and has several aerodynamic features which support that speed: a falcon-shaped nose, 22% less air drag than other trains, a 20 cm shorter profile, and a lightweight, slim body. All of these features add to the train’s remarkable speed.

It took five years to develop the CR450 train, which was designed by the China Academy of Railway Sciences. There are major risks involving speed. “If a short circuit occurs between motor windings, the motor doesn’t stop due to the magnetic field,” China Railway Academy chief engineer Zhao Hongwei quoted as saying by Science and Technology Daily.
