e-Aadhaar app launch: Update your date of birth, address, phone number, Aadhaar instantly from your phone with THIS new app, to be launched..

The Government of India is preparing a new service that will enable citizens to update their Aadhaar data from their smartphones. With this feature in place, people will no longer need to visit Aadhaar centers to make changes or corrections. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is developing the E-Aadhaar App, a new mobile application. Users will be able to use the E-Aadhaar App to update their date of birth, address, and mobile numbers without visiting an Aadhaar center.

According to the media reports, this service is likely to be launched by the end of 2025 for both Android and iOS platforms. This application will certainly add convenience for everyone looking to update Aadhaar details.

Using the E-Aadhaar App, users can make all required updates in one place. After installing the app on their mobile phones, users will be able to make several changes, such as changing their date of birth, age, or address. The app will also allow users to update the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card without difficulty. However, some updates would still require users to go to an Aadhaar center, particularly those that require fingerprint or iris verification for authentication, as reported by several media.

The E-Aadhaar App will simplify updates while at the same time increasing security. The app will utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities combined with Face ID recognition for secure and verified identification and authentication. This advanced technology will significantly lower the risk of fraud or misuse of Aadhaar information.

The UIDAI has indicated that the primary reason for implementing the new system is to prevent unauthorized use of Aadhaar. Updates will only be processed after your face is successfully matched through Face ID verification.

Previously, the process of updating Aadhaar was complicated in many cases, requiring long queues, wasted time, and the hassle of submitting multiple documents. This was particularly challenging for communities from villages or remote areas. With the introduction of the E-Aadhaar App, everything will be sorted and in one place. Users will be able to link government databases such as Passport, PAN, and Driving License, which will help make the update process faster and easier. This will strengthen the Digital India movement even further.

If you are looking to make a change to your Aadhaar, begin your preparation before the app is launched. Make sure that your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar, as it is required for multiple services. Also, have your valid proof ready for address or date of birth updates. After the launch of the app, you’ll be able to make all changes from your phone without visiting an Aadhaar center.
