2 species of marine amphipods found by Berhampur University, Gujarat researchers

Researchers have identified two novel marine amphipod species from Chilika and the Gulf of Khambhat. Named Grandidierella geetanjalae and Grandidierella khambhatensis, these tiny crustaceans play a vital role in ecosystem health. Their discovery, confirmed by an international expert, marks a significant contribution to marine biodiversity research.
