Zoological Survey of India carries out study of Goa’s fauna after nearly 2 decades

Goa's faunal diversity is undergoing a comprehensive study by the Zoological Survey of India after a 17-year hiatus. This extensive record, involving local experts, is expected to reveal four times more species than the 2008 report. The findings will significantly aid conservation efforts and complement the state's biodiversity action plan, highlighting Goa's rich ecosystems and endemic species.
