A yellow alert has been issued for this reason. Additionally, minimum temperatures may drop by up to 4 degrees Celsius in many areas.

The Meteorological Department stated that a low-pressure area (LPA) is persisting over the northeast and east-central Bay of Bengal, along with the Myanmar and Bangladesh coasts. A western disturbance is expected to affect northwest India on November 4 and 5.

Thunderstorms and lightning likely in Central India

Rain and lightning are likely in eastern Madhya Pradesh and surrounding areas on November 4th. This change is due to the influence of a western disturbance and a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal.

The weather will also show its strength in Western India.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected in Konkan and Goa on November 5th and 6th, and in Central Maharashtra on November 4th and 7th. Temperatures will drop after the rain, with minimum temperatures expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has warned people to avoid outdoor activities in areas where lightning and strong winds are forecast, and farmers working in the fields should exercise caution. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea if the weather intensifies in coastal areas.
