Western Railway Partakes In The Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Awareness Campaign For Pensioners

In line with the directives of the Railway Board, Western Railway is actively participating in the nation-wide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, which is being organized by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare from 1st November to 30th November, 2025.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, this campaign aims to empower pensioners through digital literacy and facilitate the seamless submission of Digital Life Certificates using the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ mobile application available on both Android and iOS devices. Throughout the month of November, camps, seminars and workshops will be organized across various locations including Railway offices, banks, hospitals etc. within Western Railway’s jurisdiction. These activities are being conducted in collaboration with Pension Paying Banks, Pensioners’ Associations and Trade Unions to spread awareness and assist pensioners in generating their Digital Life Certificates. Pensioners are required to submit their Life Certificates every year in the month of November to continue receiving pension benefits. The Digital Life Certificate simplifies this process by enabling online submission from the comfort of one’s home.

Over the past three years, more than 4.5 crore Digital Life Certificates have been generated across State and Central Government departments. With Railways having one of the largest pensioner bases amongst Government organizations, Western Railway is undertaking a comprehensive outreach program to ensure all Railway Pensioners and Family Pensioners are covered during this campaign.

Western Railway appeals all pensioners and family pensioners to make use of this convenient digital facility for generating Digital Life Certificates. Pensioners may attend the seminars and workshops organized by Western Railway or contact their nearest Railway Accounts Office for any assistance or guidance regarding the Digital Life Certificate process.
