Mayor lays stones for works worth Rs 52.44 lakh in Yamunanagar
Mayor Suman Bahamani laid foundation stones for development works worth Rs 52.44 lakh in Wards 14 and 22. In Ward 22, Councillor Ruchi Sharma, Market Committee of Yamunanagar Chairman Rakesh Tyagi and other persons were present at the stone-laying ceremony.
In Govindpuri colony of the ward, the Municipal Corporation will lay RCC pipes and construct streets and drains from Government School to Navdurga Dairy.
The Municipal Corporation will spend Rs 37.48 lakh on these development works, providing drainage and transportation facilities to locals.
Similarly, in the Valmiki colony of Old Hamida of Ward 14, streets and drains will be constructed at a cost of Rs 14.96 lakh. Mayor Suman Bahamani directed officials and contractors concerned to complete the construction work within stipulated time.
She said development works worth crores of rupees had been completed in every ward and many other projects were underway. “Our target is to repair every unpaved and damaged street, provide drainage facilities and make life easier for everyone,” said Bahamani. She added that with the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and “Sabka Vishwas”, the government was pursuing equal development in every area.
Yamunanagar Market Committee Chairman Rakesh Tyagi said under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana was progressing rapidly and development works were being carried out without discrimination in every region of the state.
