Bihar Assembly Elections Phase 1: Polling begins; Tejashwi Yadav, Samrat Choudhary among leaders in the fray

The first phase of the Bihar assembly elections will take place on Thursday with 3.75 crore voters deciding the fate of 1,314 candidates across 121 constituencies. Prominent contenders include the INDIA bloc’s chief ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav and BJP’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
