Are you a Tata Play subscriber? How you can get Apple Music FREE for 4 months

Tata Play recently announced a collaboration with Apple Music, as a part of which it offers "up to four months of Apple Music for free to both Binge (including Fibre) and DTH subscribers".

This offer—available across the Tata Play Mobile app, Tata Play Binge, and Tata Play Fiber—allows Tata Play users in India to tap into Apple Music's vast library of songs and podcasts.

How to activate the offer?

According to Tata Play, eligible subscribers can visit the Tata Play Mobile App or the Tata Play Binge App to claim the offer, using the following instructions:

1) Click on any one of these promotional elements: Shortcut icon <Apple Music>, Hero banner, Push Notification, the in-app nudge, or the hamburger menu.

2) This will take you to the Apple Music claim page.

3) Here, tap on 'Proceed to Activate'

4) You’ll be redirected to Apple’s environment (Apple Music app or website).

5) Sign in with your Apple ID (or create a new one).

6) Follow the on-screen steps to complete activation. Those without Apple IDs are required to click on 'review', and follow the steps to create an ID on the iTunes store. Users may be asked to add payment method.

This is because this offer is a promotional trial, and not simply free access to Apple Music for four months. As a result, after four months, Tata Play users will be automatically charged the usual price of Rs 119 per month for the pack, unless they cancel their free trial before the end of the trial period.

Eligibility

According to Tata Play, the Apple Music trial will be offered to all Tata Play DTH Active Subscribers:

Any DTH active user who is logging in to the Tata Play Mobile App will be eligible to claim the Apple Music offer.

This applies to the entire DTH base, including both new and existing active subscribers.

This offer can be claimed only once across Tata Play Binge & Tata Play DTH.

Tata Play has also said that all existing active paying Binge subscribers, as well as new acquisitions on Binge Mobile & Binge+, are eligible for the Apple Music offer.

DTH subscribers can redeem it via the Binge mobile app and TPMA, while non-DTH subscribers can redeem only via the Binge mobile app.

As for returning Apple Music users, Tata Play has said that eligibility for the four-month trial "depends on Apple’s criteria".
