'Globe Trotter' event not open for all, clarifies Rajamouli: 'Only those with physical passes may come'

The grand launch event for SS Rajamouli's much-anticipated Mahesh Babu project — tentatively titled 'Globe Trotter' — will be an exclusive event, the director has confirmed. In a video statement on Thrusday, Rajamouli clarified that the event, to be held on November 15, at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, is "not an open event" and that he expected co-operation from fans to ensure the event goes smoothly.
The video statement was a response to unverified social media rumours about the event being accessible to all, with some dubious source claiming to sell passes.
"First things first. This is not an open event. Only those with physical passes for the event may come to the event. I happened to watch a few videos that said that this was an open event and that there were people who were selling passes online. Please don't believe all that kind of stuff. Only those with physical passes to the event may come for it," he said, while adding that the police have "passed very strict instructions keeping in mind the safety of all those attending the event."
To avoid confusion, Rajamouli instructed people to scan the QR codes on the passes to get the right directions to the venue. Moreover, the team has placed sign boards along these routes, said the Baahubali maker.
He further cautioned senior citizens and individuals below 18 years against attending, as the police have not granted approval for the same, and that it's better advised to watch the event live. For the unversed, the Globe Trotter event will be streamed on JioHotstar.
“The Grand Globetrotter Event on November 15 is shaping into a cultural moment in itself. The scale being planned is unlike anything the industry has attempted; we are looking at over 50,000+ fans gathering under one roof. It will be the biggest ever stage and screen in films across the world, with a 100 ft height and a 130 ft wide screen,” a source told IANS.
On Wednesday, Rajamouli revealed the second glimpse from the movie — of Priyanka Chopra's character Mandakini. The actress is seen in a yellow saree brandishing a gun, hinting at the film is indeed an action-adventure. Previously, the glimpse of Prithviraj's antagonist Kumbha was unveiled. The look of Mahesh Babu's character is expected shortly.
