CISCE releases ICSE-ISC 2026 timetable, exams to begin in February
ICSE, ISC Datesheet 2026 OUT: CISCE has released the timetable for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) board exams. The ICSE exams will run from February 17 to March 30, and the ISC exams from February 12 to April 6.
ICSE-ISC 2026 timetable: The CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) has released the official timetable for the 2026 ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) board examinations. This year, the exams will begin earlier than in previous years. ISC Class 12 exams will begin on February 12, 2026, while ICSE Class 10 exams will begin on February 17, 2026, and continue until March 30.
Subjects and Preparation Time
The timetable includes over 75 subjects for ICSE and 50 subjects for ISC, giving students ample time to prepare. CISCE advises candidates to arrive at the exam center 30 minutes before the start of the exam and allow 15 minutes for reading time to understand the question paper and perform better.
Exam Pattern and Marking System
In ICSE, each paper will last 2 to 3 hours, with a 3-hour exam dedicated to language and mathematics. ISC will also have a 3-hour exam. Many subjects will include theory as well as internal assessment. This system will help students balance academic thinking with mental well-being.
ICSE Class 10 Exam Date: Here are the important dates:
– February 17: English Language – Paper 1, 11:00 am
– February 20: English Literature – Paper 2, 11:00 am
– February 23: Group III Optional – Section B, 11:00 am
– March 2: Mathematics, 11:00 am
– March 30: Environmental Science (Group II Optional), 11:00 am
ISC Class 12 Exam Date: The important dates are as follows:
– February 12: Psychology, 2:00 pm
– February 13: English – Paper 1, 2:00 pm
– February 16: Home Science – Paper 1, 2:00 pm
– March 9: Mathematics, 2:00 pm
– April 6: Geography, 2:00 pm
Student Number and Admit Cards
Approximately 2.6 lakh students will appear for the ICSE and 1.5 lakh for the ISC examinations in 2026. Admit cards will be released in January 2026, and students will be able to download them from the CISCE website. Results are expected to be released in April-May 2026.
