Body language of Delhi Red Fort suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi shows he was trained to be ‘Fidayeen’

Dr Umar Un Nabi, the suicide bomber who blew up a White Hyundai i20 car on Monday near the Red Fort, killing 13, was trained as a 'fidayeen' (suicide bomber), sources said.
Umar’s body language, which was analysed, made it evident that he was calm and undisturbed throughout the day, which is characteristic of a trained suicide bomber.
The sources who remained anonymous told The New Indian Express that "Umar was trained to be a fidayeen was also evident in his body language as he drove from Badarpur to Red Fort. He looked calm and undisturbed — a typical characteristic of a suicide bomber.”
Umar parking the car near the Red Fort for three hours could have been him waiting for instructions from the higher-ups. “He may have waited for final instructions (to blow up). For a terror attack in Delhi/NCR, the final green light has to come from the highest echelons of the Jaish,” the sources said.
They also said that he was “probably recruited and later trained as a fidayeen (suicide bomber) by the Masood Azhar-led Jaish-e-Mohammed much before the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.”
Before moving to Delhi, Umar Un Nabi completed his MD in Medicine at the Government Medical College in Srinagar and later served as a senior resident at the GMC Anantnag. The sources say that Umar went through a psychological assesment in Anantnag. “He was psychologically assessed during his tenure at GMC, Anantnag. It was found that he had very strong and inflexible ideological beliefs and had the potential to take extreme steps to execute his radical designs,” they said.
The sources say that his beliefs and radicalism reportedly came from his deeply disturbed background of abuse and violence at home. “Umar hails from a deeply disturbed background; of violence and abuse at home. In January this year, he had reportedly justified the concept of suicide bombing in closed circles."
They said that recruitment to JeM is not easy and only those with a pathological hate towards Indians who manage to clear the tough assignments are elevated.
DNA sample collected from the site of the explosion nd the car matched with his mother, according to investigators. Agencies are now investigating the exact manner in which the explosives were set off.
