1st phase tiger census starts in Similipal

Similipal Tiger Reserve has commenced the first phase of the All India Tiger Estimation-2026, involving 103 survey groups to assess carnivore, ungulate, and bird populations across 103 beats. This initial three-day phase focuses on sign surveys, with an extensive camera trap exercise planned for December.
