Shiv Sena pays tribute to Bala Saheb Thackeray

JAMMU, Nov 17: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit today paid heartfelt tributes to the Party founder Bala Saheb Thackeray on his death anniversary, remembering his policies, ideas, and outspoken stance on Hindutva.
At a program held at the Party’s central office, State president Manish Sahni, along with all the leaders and workers present, paid heartfelt tributes to Bala Saheb Thackeray on his 13th death anniversary. Reiterating their resolve to follow his path, they pledged to restore the democratic and constitutional rights of the people of J&K and the local populace.
Sahni said that Bala Saheb Thackeray worked to unite people to raise the flag of Hindutva and gave the slogan “Garav se kahi hum Hindu Hai”. On June 19, 1966, he founded the Shiv Sena, named after the army of the Hindu emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji. On November 17, 2012, the Bala Saheb Thackeray passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Present on the occasion were Vikas Bakshi (general secretary), Meenakshi Chibber (president, women’s wing), Balwant Singh (vice president), Raj Singh (president, Kamgar), Raju Kapoor (vice chairman), Aditya Mahajan (secretary), Happy Verma (youth president), Rajinder Kumar and Jolly Kumar, among others.
