Jeffrey Epstein was 'wing man' for ex-Harvard President Larry Summers? SHOCKING chats revealed

Former Treasury Secretary, ex-OpenAI board member, and former Harvard President, Lawrence H. Summers (Larry Summers) has become one of the first casualties of the Epstein files coming to light.
This follows the release of more than 20,000 files from the estate of the disgraced financier and paedophile earlier this week.
In a series of texts and email conversations from November 2018 to July 5, 2019, Epstein calls himself Summers' "wing man", and often gives the former Harvard President ideas on pursuing a romantic relationship with his mentee at the time.
“Think for now I’m going nowhere with her except economics mentor,” Larry Summers told him in November 2018. “I think I’m right now in the seen very warmly in rear view mirror category.”
Reports say the mentee, often nicknamed "peril" in the chats, could have been Chinese-origin macroeconomist Keyu Jin, who was trained at Harvard, and was a tenured professor at the London School of Economics at the time.
“She must be very confused or maybe wants to cut me off but wants professional connection a lot and so holds to it,” Summers muses in a March 2019 exchange with Epstein.
“She is doomed to be with you," writes Epstein in a June 2019 conversation between the two men.
Summers, who has been married since 2005, had been chatting with Epstein long after the latter's 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor, a Harvard Crimson report said.
The chats with Epstein reportedly ended just before the disgraced financier's death in police custody while awaiting prosecution on new sex trafficking charges, the report added.
This follows Harvard's own report in 2020 about Epstein's ties to the prestigious Ivy League university as a whole, at which time the Summers family's professional connections with him were revealed.
However, the new chats show that the two had been talking on a much more personal level before the 2020 report.
“After learning about the extent and horrific nature of his crimes and actions, I made a personal donation in 2019 to an organisation actively involved in combating sex trafficking in an amount exceeding Mr Epstein’s donation to my nonprofit,” said Larry Summers' wife, Elisa New, in a statement on Wednesday, as per a New York Times report. She had been talking about donations that Epstein had made to her 'Poetry in America' project, back in 2015.
