Orry skips Mumbai police summons in drugs case, confirms official
Orhan Awatramani aka Orry has landed in legal trouble after he was summoned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police’s crime branch on November 20. Now, as per new reports shared by the news agency PTI, Orry has failed to appear before the Mumbai Police and has requested an extension until November 25. Orry was summoned after alleged drug trafficker Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh — who is believed to have links to the Dawood Ibrahim gang — made accusations involving him.
Reports claim that Shaikh revealed that he had hosted massive parties in Dubai and Mumbai, which featured the presence of several prominent personalities, including Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, Orry, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.
An ANC officer, as quoted by the Hindustan Times, said that Orry has been summoned to their Ghatkopar office on Thursday morning for questioning.
What was the case?
In March 2024, police seized 126.14 kg of mephedrone worth about Rs 252 crore from a manufacturing unit on a Sangli farm. As the investigation started, Mohammed Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh was later arrested after the two were deported from Dubai.
Following that, the two admitted to organising rave parties across India and abroad for celebrities.
Who is Orry?
Orry made waves on the internet with his iconic hand pose. He is a prominent Mumbai-based socialite, lifestyle influencer, and internet personality. He has close ties with people in Bollywood. From Janhvi Kapoor to Deepika Padukone to even Aishwarya Rai, Orry has been spotted with various A-list B-town actors.
Meanwhile, amid the news of the summon, Orry is yet to issue a statement on the same.
