South Africa announces squad for ODI and T20I series against India; see full squads
Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada was unavailable for selection in the ODI and T20 squads due to injury. Wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock has been included in both squads. De Kock returned to international cricket during the recent tour of Pakistan.
South Africa will play two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is during their tour of India. Currently, the India-South Africa Test series is underway. Following this, the two countries will play ODIs and T20Is. The ODI series is scheduled to begin on November 30th, while the T20I series is scheduled to begin on December 9th.
The South African squad for the ODI and T20I series was announced on Friday, November 21st. Temba Bavuma will captain the South African team in the ODI series, while Aiden Markram will lead the team in the T20I series. The T20I squad also includes Anrich Nortje, who has returned to the team after a year of injury.
The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa will begin with a match in Ranchi on November 30. The second ODI will be played in Raipur on December 3, while the final ODI will be held in Visakhapatnam on December 6. Following the conclusion of the ODI series, the two teams will face each other in a five-match T20I series.
The T20I series will then begin with the first match in Cuttack on December 9. The second match will be played in Mullanpur (New Chandigarh) on December 11. The third T20I will be played in Dharamsala on December 14, the fourth in Lucknow on December 17, and the final T20I in Ahmedabad on December 19.
