Arms, ammunition recovered

Srinagar, Nov 22: Security forces today recovered arms and ammunition during searches in Uri forest area along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district.

An official said that one AK-47 rifle along with two magazines and  54 rounds of AK series ammunition were recovered from the forest area of village Darkunjan Boniyar in Uri during an operation.
He said that no arrests have been made so far and a case (FIR No 68/2025 u/s 7/25 IA Act) was registered at Police Station Boniyar.
He said that the arms and ammunition was recovered during a search and Area Domination Patrol (ADP) launched by Army Unit and 161 TA in the forest area of village Darkunjan, Boniyar.
“However, the search operation concluded peacefully and a party of 161 TA  Bn headed by Lt Col Nukush  Dalvi approached  Police Station Boniyar with written Docket where they claimed that they had recovered arms and ammunition”, he said.
