'Aaryan' OTT release: When and where to watch Vishnu Vishal thriller?

Actor Vishnu Vishal and Selvaraghavan's Aaryan is set to have its streaming premiere nearly a month after its theatrical release. Netflix has announced that the psychological thriller will hit the platform on November 28.

In its review of the film, THE WEEK wrote: "Comparisons are inevitable but first things first - Aaryan cannot be put in the same sentence as Ratsasan. While the opening act does spark curiosity, the screenplay is barely gripping and there is a monotonous nature to the film. Vishal tries to put in an earnest performance but he is let down by weak characterisation in the writing. Director Praveen, who has also co-written the script along with Manu Anand, had a very interesting premise to work with. However, they aren't able get the viewers hooked to the investigation which appears very dated in its execution. Selvaraghavan puts in a solid act as the struggling author with layered emotions and arguably gets the meatiest character of them all including the main protagonist."

Aaryan has Shraddha Srinath and Vani P Bhojan playing the female leads. The rest of the cast comprises actors Tarak Ponnappa, Abhishek Joseph George and Mala Parvathi.

Manu Anand has earlier worked with Vishnu Vishal in FIR, which the former directed. Harish Kannan handled the camera, with Sam CS ("Kaithi") as music composer. Ratsasan editor San Lokesh handled the editing for Aaryan as well. Stunt Silva and PC Stunts Prabhu supervised the action.

Aaryan was produced by Vishnu Vishal under his home banner Vishnu Vishal Studioz. The film commenced production in 2022, but due to various delays, the team was able to complete it only in early 2025.
