I am a big believer in bio hacking, says Alyssa Chesson

My personal style is: It has evolved over the years. But I would say overall it is pretty bohemian, with linens, over-the-shoulder tops and such. I like to accessorise with bangles and ear cuffs.

My personal style icon: Jennifer Lopez, Zoe Kravitz and Zendaya for their effortless looks.

An item in my wardrobe that means a lot to me: My Gucci boots. I bought them when I was studying in London. I remember saving up by cutting back on food so I could buy them!

My favourite souvenir from my travels is: Honestly, it’s the experiences and the memories that I collect, but a nice bottle of red wine always helps.

The best gift I have received: After I graduated from the tenth grade, my mum surprised my sister and I with a puppy. We called her Chanel and she brought us so much joy and happiness.

The best gift I have given: It would have to be my love, loyalty, and ride-or-die attitude towards my inner circle of people.

The last thing I bought: I love buying workout wear, I am constantly trying out new brands and styles.

The last book I read: ‘The Let-Them’ Theory’, a motivational book by Mel Robbins.

The last film I loved: I love watching thrillers and dark movies. So I’d say ‘Blink Twice’ with Channing Tatum.

My Spotify list would include these songs: ‘No distance’ by Dixon, ‘2020 souls’ by Aaaron, ‘Innerbloom’ by Rufus du Sol.

My beauty/ wellness routine is: I’m big believer in biohacking which includes daily movement whether it’s weightlifting, running or swimming. Ice baths once a week, listening to podcasts to understand how the human mind works and I try to get at least eight hours of sleep a night.

My favourite holiday destination: I have quite a few favourites but my top choices would be Portugal, Thailand and Italy.

I love to collect: I love taking photographs and collecting memories through them. I also love collecting wine.

My fridge always has: Something sweet. I’m a fiend for dark chocolate, BONO ice cream and cookies.

Minimalism or maximalism: Minimalism.

My home looks like: it’s a beautiful amalgamation of art, furniture and artefacts which have been handed down by my Nani and my mum. Every piece has a story.

My favourite mix of traditional and contemporary is: I love pairing Indian jadau jewellery with western wear.

My best ideas come when: I’ve had my morning coffee fix and I’m running on the treadmill.

The best way to spend Rs 20,000 is: Either on a good meal at a restaurant or gym wear for me.

My idea of happiness is: I think I’ve learnt the hard way that happiness can only come from within. When one stops seeking outside validation through people, material possessions, and is comfortable in one’s own skin is when you are truly happy. Spending quality time traveling with family and friends always brings a smile to my face.
