'Usi Stand Pe Baithke Match Dekhna Hai': Rohit Sharma Reveals Chat With Parents Over Massive Honour; Video

Team India captain and Mumbai Indians star Rohit Sharma revealed that he has urged his parents to watch from the stand named after him whenever it comes into being at the Wankhede Stadium. The right-handed batter made the revelation during a chat with Vimal Kumar on his birthday.

With Rohit becoming one of the most successful captains of the modern era, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) recently announced that a stand will be named after the veteran cricketer at the Wankhede Stadium. The Divecha Pavilion Level 3 will be renamed as the 'Rohit Sharma Stand'.

Speaking to Vimal Kumar in a video uploaded on YouTube, the 38-year-old stated:

"Mere mom, dad zyaada bahar aana pasand nahin karte, unko ghar pe match dekhna zyaada pasand hai. Par maine unko bola hai, jab mera stand banega, aapko vahan aana hai aur usi stand pe baithke match dekhna hai."

(My mother and father don't prefer to come to the ground often and like watching the match from home. But I have told them when the stand gets named after me, you have to come there and watch the match from there.)
