After airspace ban, now Railways takes THIS big step amid rising India-Pakistan tensions

India has decided to corner Pakistan from all sides. After closing its airspace for flights operated by Pakistan airlines following the Pahalgam terror attack, now the Railways too have prepared their counter plan.

Amid the tension at the border after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, preparations are in full swing in the railways to keep the lines clear and provide routes for logistics supply to the armed forces. The railways have decided to run only essential trains from major military cantonments and defense production units to strategic points and to change the route of additional or less important trains.

Similarly, in many zones, less popular trains have been cancelled and their racks are being reserved for emergency situations.

Top officials of the railways and the army attended an important meeting held at Rail Bhavan on Tuesday evening. In the midst of preparations for cross-border military action after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the army has requested the railways to keep the lines clear and provide routes for rapid transportation of logistics supplies, military equipment and troops.

It has been told that instructions have been given to make both the dedicated freight corridors of the railways available for military transport on priority basis. Apart from this, racks and containers suitable for transporting tanks and armored vehicles, cannons and ammunition are also being arranged in consultation with the army officials.

Apart from the borders of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, instructions have been given to keep the lines of Northeast including West Bengal, Assam bordering Bangladesh ready for military transportation.
