Tata Motors Announces Sales Figures for April 2025

Tata Motors Limited reported total sales of 72,753 units in April 2025, a decrease from 77,521 units in April 2024. Domestic sales accounted for 70,963 units in April 2025, down 7% from 76,399 units in the same month last year.

In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) trucks saw a decline of 8%, with sales dropping from 7,875 units in April 2024 to 7,270 units in April 2025. The sale of intermediate and light commercial vehicle (ILMCV) trucks grew by 8%, from 4,316 units in April 2024 to 4,680 units in April 2025. Passenger carriers also showed a 4% increase, with sales rising from 4,502 units to 4,683 units. However, small commercial vehicles (SCV) and pickup trucks faced a significant decline of 23%, falling from 11,823 units in April 2024 to 9,131 units in April 2025. Overall, CV domestic sales dropped by 10%, from 28,516 units to 25,764 units, with the international business (IB) of CVs growing by 43%, from 1,022 units to 1,457 units. The total CV sales for April 2025 stood at 27,221 units, down 8% compared to the same month in the previous year.

In the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, total domestic sales, including electric vehicles (EVs), were 45,199 units, a 6% decrease from 47,883 units in April 2024. EV sales (domestic and international) saw a decline of 16%, from 6,364 units to 5,318 units.
