Pahalgam Attack: Terrorists evading the security forces with the help of THIS country… attackers not being caught due to…
There have been continuous developments in the Pahalgam terror attack investigation. In a major development, the security forces during the interrogation of the Over Ground Workers (OGWs) have found out that the terrorists were present in Baisaran valley two days before the terrorist attack and reached the Valley on April 15.
But the question in people’s mind is that how are the terrorists still hiding even after more than a week has passed? Many units of security forces and agencies are searching every inch of the area with high-tech technology, yet no luck? Who is supporting the Pakistani terrorists – Turkey or China?
These two countries have shown more sympathy for Pakistan. According to the report of ‘The Print’, due to lack of technical intelligence, the culprits of Pahalgam roaming in Kashmir have not been caught yet. Sources have said that earlier terrorists used mobile or satellite phones etc. for communication, but in the last 2-3 years, foreign terrorists have avoided this. The terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed and People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) are still using traditional methods for communication. However, the terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba or The Resistance Front are using encrypted communication systems.
Encrypted is a kind of secret system which is used in many ways. The report states that Lashkar terrorists are probably hiding with the help of a Chinese technology. The name of that device is Ultra. In an all-party meeting after the attack, Home Minister Amit Shah had reportedly said that the security agencies did not find any communication signal in a radius of several kilometers around the Baisaran Valley at least 5 days before the attack. According to the report of ‘The Hindu’, Shah has clearly stated that the terrorists did not use any communication device.
What is this Ultra System?
Ultra is a system that connects to a mobile phone and makes it possible to exchange information through radio network. It is encrypted, that is why Indian security agencies are not able to find out how and what the terrorists might have communicated with Pakistan. It is like a satellite device, which is connected to a special mobile. Earlier, only encrypted text messages were sent through it, but now voice or video can also be sent. It is being told that the terrorists are not using any Indian mobile operator in this phone. It is not like a traditional satellite phone.
The problem the security forces are facing with the ultra technology is that they can detect it only within a certain radius when it is activated. This is possible only up to 5 or 10 km. It is believed that Lashkar terrorists also used ultra technology in the Pahalgam attack.
Another trick of terrorists
It is believed that apart from Ultra, terrorists are keeping messages in outbox and sending or receiving messages by switching on the handset for a few seconds. Pakistan’s ISI helps Lashkar in this.
How are terrorists running from one place to another without any location in the dense forest? Technology has a role in this too. There are many open source apps in the dark net that save the pre-selected location and later provide map service even without internet or satellite connection.
One such thing is Alpine Quest. Alpine Quest is a mapping and navigation application which is quite popular among trekkers. It saves the map and later keeps working in offline mode as well. This makes one more thing clear that the terrorists must have done a thorough recce of that area before the Pahalgam attack.
The security forces recovered Ultra phones for the first time in 2023. However, tracking it has not been possible even today. When the device is found, information slowly comes out from the code.
