MP: Thieves Break Into Rewa Residence At 3Am, Steal ₹10 Lakh Jewellery While The Family Was In Deep Sleep
Rewa (Madhya Pradesh): In a major theft incident, unidentified thieves broke into a house late at night on Wednesday, and decamped with gold and silver jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh
The theft took place when family members were asleep and the robbery came to light at 3 in the morning.
Robbery took place late at night
According to the victim Neeraj Singh, he had gone to sleep after having dinner with his wife and children. Singh's parents had gone to a marriage function in Mirzapur. Taking advantage of the situation the thieves broke into the house, late at night robbing the kutcha and pucca house in the premises.
The thieves first broke into the pucca house and looted five gold chains, two necklaces, three mangalsutras, nine rings, six earrings, ten tops, four bangles, one silver waistband, and eight anklets. Afterward, they targeted the adjoining kutcha house and stole additional valuables including one necklace, two mangalsutras, one chain, two earrings, two rings, and two silver anklets.
Police engaged in investigation
SDOP Sirmaur Umesh Prajapati and the forensic team along with the police station in-charge inspected the spot. The police have registered a case. The cops suspects that the thieves had prior information about the house and some acquaintance might be involved.
