Western Railway State Bharat Scouts & Guides Organised 5th District Rally

Western Railway State Bharat Scouts & Guides successfully held its 5 th District Rally from 25 th April to 28 th April, 2025 at the State Training Centre, Gholvad. With the central theme of "Peace and Trust," this year's rally brought together 104 Scouts and Guides from across Mumbai District to promote values ​​of harmony, mutual understanding, and service.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Westen Railway, Vineet Abhishek, the objective of the rally was to foster a culture of peace and dialogue, encourage community service, and strengthen intercultural understanding among young participants. Activities were designed to highlight these goals and provide a meaningful, collaborative experience for all attendees. 104 participants from all Units of Mumbai District such as Mumbai, Valsad, Surat/Udhna, Nandurbar and Sindkheda were part of this camp.

The rally featured a wide range of inter-patrol competitions including face painting, mehendi, rangoli, and poster-making. In line with environmental awareness efforts, participants engaged in a recycling project by creatively reusing plastic bottles to construct boundaries around trees at the camp site. Team-building events such as tug of war, box cricket, quiz contests, and dance competitions added to the enthusiasm and camaraderie. Every evening concluded with a themed campfire session, reinforcing the message of unity and shared purpose.

Vineet further added that senior leader Scouts mentored new members through hands-on training in pioneering skills, including the construction of gadgets and a three-pole tower. The presence of Akash Sharma, District Commissioner (S) & Sr. Divisional Personnel Officer (Sr.DPO), further inspired the participants. Leaders guided him through a comprehensive tour of the camp, showcasing ongoing projects and activities. The four-day rally concluded on April 28th with an All Faith Prayer Meeting, symbolizing the collective spirit of peace, inclusiveness, and mutual respect that defined the entire event.
