US can capture Pakistan’s nuclear bombs in one go because…, Donald Trump can…

US can capture Pakistan’s nuclear bombs: In a significant update for India amid its rising tensions with Pakistan, a report from a reputed US news is getting widespread attention. As per a NBC News report from 2011, the United States had developed a contingency plan to seize Pakistan’s nuclear weapons if the US President is of the opinion that they are a threat to the interest of American or its national security. Here are all the details you need to know.

The report highlighted that the US had prepared for worst-case scenarios in Pakistan, with the security of its nuclear arsenal being a top priority for Washington.

According to several US officials cited by NBC News, these scenarios included internal unrest in Pakistan, a significant terrorist attack on a nuclear site, rising tensions with India, or the possibility of Islamic extremists gaining control of the Pakistani government or military. Therefore, if reports are to be believed, there are chances that US President Trump may seize the nuclear weapons of Pakistan if he sees any threat.

“Worst-case scenario planning with respect to nuclear weapons has already been developed within the US government”, Roger Cressey, former White House deputy director of counterterrorism was quoted as saying in the NBC report.

The NIA took over the Pahalgam terror attack investigation on Sunday following an order issued by the Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalisation (CTCR) division of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) considering the gravity of the case.

A formal FIR has been registered by the agency. Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba’s proxy, the Resistance Front (TRF), has claimed responsibility for the attack.
