Maharashtra News: Tatkare’s Women And Child Development Dept Leads In CM Devendra Fadnavis’ 100 Days Action Plan

To enhance efficiency, transparency and public trust in government functioning, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had launched a 100 Days Action Plan, an administrative reform campaign aimed at streamlining state departments and delivering faster citizen services. The results of the first phase of this initiative were announced on Thursday on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, with the Women and Child Development Department emerging as the top-performing ministerial department.

The evaluation was conducted by the Quality Council of India across ten criteria, including website efficiency, office infrastructure, grievance redressal mechanisms, investment-friendliness, citizen accessibility, and use of technology.

“This initiative is not just about management – it reflects a responsible, transparent, and citizen-centric governance model. The top-performing officers have set a benchmark for others,” said Fadnavis during the awards ceremony, where over 30 officials and departments were felicitated.

All 48 government departments participated in the reform campaign, targeting a total of 902 strategic goals. Impressively, 706 of these goals – about 78% – were fully achieved, while the remaining objectives continue to be pursued.

Twelve departments accomplished 100% of their set targets, and 18 others surpassed the 80% mark.

Fadnavis congratulated all the winners, stating, “This campaign marks the beginning of a long-term shift in our governance model. The aim is to turn this movement into a citizen-centric revolution, delivering better services across Maharashtra.”
