Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner & Administrator Shekhar Singh on Friday took to X (formerly Twitter) and thanked Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde after PCMC was ranked second in the state in the Municipal Corporation category under the final assessment of the Chief Minister’s 100 Days Action Plan.

"It is a moment of immense pride for our Pimpri-Chinchwad as PCMC has been ranked 2nd among all Municipal Corporations in Maharashtra in the final evaluation of the Chief Minister’s 100 Days Action Plan, conducted by the Quality Council of India. I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition on behalf of PCMC’s dedicated administration, staff, all local representatives, elected members, and the resilient citizens who continue to drive our collective progress. Our consistent efforts in digital governance, smart infrastructure, grievance redressal, and citizen-first innovation have helped us stand out at the state level," Singh wrote.

"A heartfelt thank you to CM @Dev_Fadnavis, DCM @mieknathshinde, and DCM @AjitPawarSpeaks for this recognition and their continued leadership and guidance in building a stronger, more citizen-centric Maharashtra. This recognition not only reaffirms our commitment to good governance but also strengthens our resolve to push harder, deliver better, and serve smarter. The journey continues—towards a more inclusive, efficient, and future-ready Pimpri-Chinchwad. Congratulations to everyone at @pcmcindiagovin, @PCMCSarathi, and every citizen who has made this possible," he added.

Scoring 85.71 out of 100, PCMC stood just behind Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, which secured the top spot with 86.29 points. PCMC’s performance was distinguished by innovations such as an accessible, real-time website, AI-powered grievance redressal, GIS-based property tax reforms, smart sanitation facilities, and predictive analytics to improve civic service response times.

Taking to X, Ajit Pawar congratulated PCMC on the achievement. He wrote, "As the Guardian Minister of Pune district, I heartily congratulate the officers, employees, past and present public representatives, and all the residents of the district for the excellent performance of the Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and his team, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad and their fellow officers and employees in the jurisdiction of Pune district in the 100-day office improvement campaign of the 'Quality Council of India' and the success achieved in the final evaluation. I am confident that, taking inspiration from this success, other government and semi-government institutions in the district will also set an example of excellent performance and people-oriented governance in the coming times. Heartfelt congratulations to the officers and employees of all the offices in the district and the state who performed excellently in the final evaluation under the 'Quality Council of India's 100-day office improvement campaign.'"
