In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Pune Police have issued strict security directives to lodge owners. The measures aim to enhance vigilance and ensure the safety of residents and visitors alike.
Pune Police Zone 5 have directed that the documents of all customers arriving at lodges must be thoroughly verified and systematically recorded in the lodge register. A special meeting was held at the Hadapsar Police Station with the owners to emphasize the importance of these precautions from a security point of view.
During the meeting, officers from Hadapsar Police Station and Pune Police Zone 5 addressed the attendees, instructing them on the correct procedures for guest verification. Special attention was given to the protocols for accommodating foreign nationals. Police stated that foreign guests must fill out the required form, and lodge operators must obtain photocopies of their passport and visa, which must be registered and submitted as per regulations.

Additionally, police informed lodge owners that entrances and surrounding roads near the lodges will be monitored more closely. High-definition (HD) and night vision CCTV cameras are to be installed to ensure round-the-clock surveillance.
Pune Police have urged all lodge operators to stay alert and report any suspicious individuals immediately to the Police Control Room. These heightened security measures are part of a proactive approach to maintaining law and order and preventing any untoward incidents.
