Nita Ambani said Mukesh Ambani once scolded Akash Ambani for misbehaving with…, asked him to apologise to…,
Mukesh and Nita Ambani, despite their massive wealth and status, have always tried to raise their children with grounded values. Their three children – Isha, Akash, and Anant – may belong to one of Asia’s richest families, but they’ve been taught from a young age that respect, humility, and hard work matter more than money or fame. Coming from a modest Gujarati background, both Mukesh and Nita believe in living with dignity and responsibility. Nita Ambani has often said that her strength comes from the middle-class values she grew up with, and she’s made sure those values are passed down to her kids too.
A heartwarming example of this was once shared during Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s appearance on Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. During their chat, Nita shared an incident that highlighted Mukesh’s down-to-earth nature and his parenting style.
She recalled a time when their son Akash got into an argument with the building’s watchman. Mukesh happened to witness the moment and wasn’t happy with how Akash was speaking to the guard. Without hesitation, he stepped in and scolded Akash for his rude behavior. He then insisted that Akash apologize to the watchman right away. Akash, realizing his mistake, apologized as his father had asked.
Nita Ambani made her kids ride in trains
In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Nita Ambani opened up about how she and Mukesh tried to ensure Isha, Akash, and Anant Ambani didn’t grow up disconnected from real life. She recalled taking her children on local trains from Churchgate to Santacruz, where her parents lived. “My mom is from Ahmedabad, and she would even take them on the Gujarat Mail,” Nita shared. These simple travel experiences were meant to help the kids understand everyday life and stay grounded.
Nita has also spoken openly about her difficult journey to motherhood. After marrying Mukesh in 1985 at the age of 20, she was told she might not be able to conceive. It was a painful period for her, especially since she had dreamed of becoming a mother since childhood. In one of her interviews, she described it as a door she couldn’t open — no matter how powerful or wealthy she was.
Eventually, through IVF, Nita gave birth to twins, Isha and Akash. Three years later, she naturally gave birth to her youngest son, Anant.
