The High Court has declared the rules of the state government under the Right to Education Act wrong, in which fees are charged every year for affiliation from private schools. The court of Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Rajesh Shankar gave its verdict in this case on Friday.

The High Court has declared the rule of the state government correct in which 60 decimiles of land has been made mandatory for schools in rural areas and 40 decimiles of land for schools in urban areas. But the court has relaxed this rule for six months. Schools have been given six months to follow this rule.

In this regard, Jharkhand Private School Association and other private schools had filed a petition. In this, three points of the state government’s 2019 rules under the Right to Education Act were challenged in the court.
