IAF Power Questioned: BJP Slams Congress for Undermining Surgical Strikes and Boosting Pakistan’s Narrative

The BJP has strongly criticized Congress, particularly Sonia Gandhi and the Gandhi family, for allegedly hurting national sentiments and questioning the Indian armed forces. Referring to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, reportedly sponsored by Pakistan, BJP leaders expressed concern over the Congress Working Committee's (CWC) double standards. They pointed out that while CWC passed resolutions condemning the attack, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, in a separate press conference, claimed the 2019 Balakot surgical strike never occurred. He questioned the government's claims and demanded proof, indirectly echoing Pakistan’s narrative. The BJP alleged this was a strategic move—an internal contradiction where CWC presents one face, while leaders like Channi undermine the military’s credibility. BJP leaders further criticized other Congress figures like Siddaramaiah and R.B. Timmapur, who suggested that war should be avoided and accused the government of lying. Labeling Congress as “CWC outside, PWC (Pakistan Working Committee) inside,” the BJP accused the party of giving oxygen to terrorists and lowering the morale of the Indian military. The party warned that daily press conferences doubting India’s military action serve only Pakistan’s interests and erode public trust in national security efforts.
