CBSE Board Class 10th, 12th Result 2025 Updates: Board Revises Sequence For Post-Result Processes

CBSE Result 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a major alteration in the order of post-result procedures for students of Classes 10 and 12. The decision is aimed at increasing transparency and enabling students to make well-informed decisions on their results.

New Order of Post-Result Procedures

The procedure of action after the result declaration has been altered under the new system. Students will now

- First take photocopies of their marked answer books

- Then carry out verification of marks, re-evaluation, or both

This is a change from the old process where students would have to first apply for verification of marks, then apply for photocopies, and then apply for re-evaluation.

Why the Change?

As per the CBSE notification, this new system has been introduced in order to give students more clarity regarding the marks given. Through the initial check of their marked answer sheets, students can recognise any discrepancies, missing evaluations, or potential errors before deciding on availing of mark verification or re-evaluation.

What Students Can Do

Once the photocopy of their answer sheet has been obtained, a candidate can:

-Apply for Verification of Marks: This includes re-checking of totals or identifying unevaluated answers.

-Apply for Re-evaluation: which involves a detailed review of specific answers.

-Opt to apply for both, if required.

CBSE made it clear that the candidate can choose to do so only after obtaining the photocopy of their answer book.
