Main accused in MP college student rape and blackmail case shot while trying to escape during investigation

Farhan, the main suspect in a rape and blackmail case involving college students, was shot in the leg. This happened while in police custody. Police claim he tried to snatch a sub-inspector's pistol and escape. He is now receiving treatment at Hamidia Hospital. Simultaneously, large protests occurred across Bhopal and other cities in Madhya Pradesh.
