Pune Accident Video: Biker Crushed To Death On Navale Bridge After Truck Brake Failure
A major accident on Pune's Navale Bridge claimed the life of a biker, who was crushed to death after a truck lost control due to brake failure, officials said on Saturday. The incident took place at around 1:20pm, they added.

According to the police, "The biker was carrying a can consisting of 25 litres of oil when the incident took place. The biker, who was riding behind the truck, came under its rear wheel and died on the spot. Due to brake failure, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into two auto-rickshaws and another bike. The deceased, Rahul Jagannath Khatpe (34), is a resident of Wadgaon."
"After the accident, the oil was spilt on the road, leading to a severe traffic jam. The authorities immediately arrived at the spot. Soil was put on the oil, and the traffic was smoothed. Meanwhile, the truck driver, Birajdar, has been arrested," the police added.
In another accident in Pune, one person was killed and three others sustained injuries after a Mercedes rammed into a motorcycle and fell off the Wadgaon bridge around 4:30am on Saturday. Motorcyclist Kunal Hushar, a resident of Chinchwad, died in the incident, and the pillion rider sustained injuries. Reportedly, four youths were travelling in the Mercedes, and all of them were in an inebriated state.
