Never pick up a drone that fell from the sky if you are on the front lines. The enemy pilot might have lost control but that doesn't mean it has become essentially dysfunctional.
A video has gone viral on the internet in which a Russian soldier came running out of his bunker after spotting an enemy drone on the ground. The soldier quickly picks up the white drone and rushes back to his position inside the bunker, the viral video showed. The uniformed man hardly got time to regret his action as the drone exploded immediately after he reached his post. Smoke billows from every opening of the bunker following the blast as the video released by pro-Kyiv social media handles concluded. It is possible that one soldier's rash act decided the fate of his comrades as well.

One thing that the Russia-Ukraine conflict showed the world is how attack drones influence the outcome on modern battlefields. These small devices have played a pivotal role in restricting Russia from bodyslamming the tiny Ukraine in a matter of days. Moscow, meanwhile, has effectively used its drones to destroy or damage the most modern tanks, armoured vehicles and launchers that the West equipped Kyiv with. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) can take out the advantage that a superior number of men or tank units on the ground can offer the enemy.

Ever since the war broke out, videos on social media showed drones being used by both Russia and Ukraine to take out enemy positions. Mostly infantrymen or military motorcades are shown being hit by these FPV drones. An FPV or 'First Person View' can transmit a live video feed from its onboard camera to a pilot's goggles or monitor, allowing the pilot to see and control the drone from the drone's perspective. On battlefields, these footages come to an end when the drone strikes its target and explodes.
Damaged or destroyed enemy drones are used for research and the ill-fated Russian soldier would have thought the immobile enemy UAV could come in handy later. He was likely unaware that kamikaze drones can still detonate even though its flight operations were interrupted.
