The series was directed by an ace director, and it was his directorial debut on OTT. The series had over 10 famous faces, not only that, it also marked some actors’ comebacks.

If you are wondering which series we are talking about, then it is none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s show Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Director SLB is one of the renowned personalities in Bollywood. He has given several hit films such as Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani, Bhaag Milkha Singh and more.

Coming to Heeramandi, it was released on May 1, 2024. The series was based on the life of courtesans of Heeramandi in Lahore before Independence. The series was released on Netflix, and just after the first week’s release, it won audiences’ hearts. Bhansali brought that era alive in this series through heart-touching scenes, big sets, and a deep story.

The series had a unique storyline. While at one point, the plot showed the life of these courtesans in the place, on the other hand, it also showed their contribution during the Independence fight.

With big royal sets, classic costumes with intricate embroidery, silk clothes, and heavy jewellery, followed by power-packed performances, the series was a delight for the audience.
